Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful, and most noble employment of man.” 70% of the population in Uganda engages in agriculture. Unfortunately, most of it is done on a very small scale with poor yields that cannot sustain their families.
At CFBI, we improve delivery of agricultural support services, promote Market oriented production, and improve Agricultural Markets for sustainability purposes.
These community markets will have stalls for selling produce from the Agro-Farm and out-growers farm. Produce from the farms will be stored in designated silos. It will not only be a source of income to the farmers but also provide employment opportunities for some of the people in these communities.
This campaign was birthed during one of our charity visits to Luweero District where we found a family that hadn’t had salt for two weeks!
Do you have surplus food? Don’t waste it. Donate it in cash or in kind to feed a life. Partner with us once a month to save a life.
To Avert Malnutrition and its effects, we want to set up a community Kitchen (Nutri-Kisefuriya) to offer nutritious meals to the vulnerable individuals (Children and the Aged). At just 10$ a week, our nutritionist recommended porridge mixture can kick out Malnutrition in a family of four.
Our mission is to reach out and equip vulnerable communities with tools and skills to alleviate hunger and food poverty that will make a difference in their livelihoods. We are working tirelessly, one country at a time, to deliver long-term sustainable solutions through our holistic Food Security Model.
