How we grow NUTRI to reach more people

Our 2026 to 2035 plan scales NUTRI step by step, from first batches to national production. Every shilling is tracked and reported to donors and partners.

Phase 1: Launch (2026)

First production batches of Standard and Instant porridge, packed in 500g to 50kg sizes. Sales tracked in a production and sales tracker with UGX, USD, GBP and EUR reporting.

Phase 2: First outlet

One city-centre wholesale and retail outlet in Kampala (rent about UGX 1M to 1.5M a month), supplying about 1 tonne of porridge a month to households, shops, schools and hospitals.

Phase 3: Milling line

A dedicated miller production line of 150 tonnes a day capacity, budgeted at about USD 200,000, to cut unit costs and raise quality.

Phase 4: Extrusion and national network

An extrusion machine (about USD 500,000) for Instant porridge at scale, and a nationwide network of wholesale and retail outlets across Uganda.

Phase 5: CFBI NUTRI Hospital

A specialist facility for malnutrition: inpatient and outpatient care, therapeutic feeding with NUTRI products, mother and child clinics, and training for health workers.

Ongoing: CFBI Skilling Centre

Skills and Entrepreneurship Centre on 10 acres, training communities in food processing, farming and business.

Ongoing: CFBI Fund (SACCO)

Member savings, loans and investments that build household incomes, with a 36-month membership and pool growth plan.

Ongoing: Eat Right Movement

Community nutrition education, school and market campaigns, and cooking demonstrations, running alongside every phase.
